Photo's of Scene Locations

This is the location of Wade's room where he keeps the photo's and tools. I chose to decorate the room using different tools, torches and gloves to hint to the audience what tools he used on the girls. There was no source of light in the room but it was too dark to film so i added a small lamp in the corner and moved the light depending how much light i wanted in the shot. I thought it was best to let as little light as possible into the scene to be able to play with Wade's shadow's which adds to the gloomy atmosphere.

This was one of the scenes of the girl's, we chose this location because it was full of grass land and it is out of the way from cars, trains and noise of the public. We chose to shoot the scene under the bridge and in day light to show that Wade does not only kill during the night period and to make all the scenes different from the next.

This was the room of another girl, as you can see there is a large window allowing natural light into the scene and we wanted it quite dark and gloomy, we shot the scene on the floor and put materials over the curtains to block some of the light out of the scence. We wanted the scene to be at home to add a different feel to the murder shots previous, this also shows how risky the murderer is and leads the audience to wonder how he got into the house and what happened.

These are different shot's from different scenes, we researched different locations and took different photo's of the scenes. The woodlands was in two scenes, the foot-steps and another one of the girl's scenes. We chose this location because it is a stereotypical location of thriller/horror film. Other films which involve this location for example are- The Tripper, Backwoods, Cabin Fever, Timber Falls, The Woods, Hatchet, Friday the 13th, Blair Witch, Wind Chill, Welcome to the Jungle, The Burning and Sleepaway camp.

These are the locations of the begining of the film where it starts, we chose this location because it is a simple route to the home. We shot it during the day, with hot weather to reflect the happy mood set by the two girls as they walk home. The only problem with this scene was that it was on a road which meant there was a lot of road noise for example, passing cars in shots when wanting to cross the road and horns beeping during a shot.
