1. In
what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions
of real media products?
Our film is a
psychological thriller which has been inspired through conventions based on psychological
thrillers and horrors of our time. Iconography such as leather gloves, murder
and death are used and our film has conventional locations such as woods and
isolated dark areas. However some original ideas are included such as a
murderer’s wall collection of photo’s which get crossed off when the victims
are killed. The opening sequence cuts quickly to different time periods in the
film which unravels stories and murder cases.
